Michael Patrick Eltrich manages the emotional dilemma of wanting to help someone in need by risking both his and his wife’s lives in order to accomplish it. The way he weaves this story through his writing drew me in to his experience, including his struggle 40 years later concerning his doubt as to if he did the right thing or not toward his fellow man in Romania. I was deeply moved how Eltrich communicated his gut-wrenching feelings, fears, and hesitations as he came to his decision. The writing and sharp tone drew me in immediately and I knew this was a story to share with others.

War and Peace
War and Peace intrigued me from the onset. Once again, the author, Petra Perkins, takes you on a road into childhood and makes you want to join into the game. My belief system was suspended and I was with the characters to the 'bitter end'. The story is well crafted, tight and more to the point, a very fine piece of fiction. I want to read more from Ms. Perkins and I'm confident that in the future we will continue to see her work.

I am deeply moved by the writing of Cindy Charlton. She courageously shares her private journey of illness, devastating loss and—yes— eventual triumph in spite of it all. I think each reader will find this piece to be filled with life lessons that can make a difference in their personal lives.
